Bringing God's Word
to Every Heart

Oasis Scripture Mission transforms lives in India through Scripture translation, compassion, and empowerment.

Why Translation Matters

The Crisis of Extinction

Many Indian communities are compelled to read Scripture only in regional languages (Hindi, Marathi, Odia) rather than their "Heart Language." If we do not act, an entire generation may miss the chance to hear God's Word in the language closest to their hearts.

Without Scripture in their own tongue, languages gradually weaken and disappear. Recent statistics show that nearly 60 languages have vanished in the last 50 years.

Our Translation Methodology

We identify languages without Scripture and meet with communities to emphasize the importance of their mother tongue.

1

Team Selection

We identify 20–25 people (for NT) or 30–35 (for OT) fluent in both mother tongue and regional language. The team is a mix of elders (strong in vernacular) and youth.

2

Training Week

A one-week intensive training covering translation methodology. We cover all expenses: food, accommodation, and travel.

3

Drafting & Checking

Translators draft from gateway languages. They perform self-checks for key terms, followed by rigorous group checking sessions.

Heartfelt Tributes

Stories of lives touched by Bhaiya Christopher & Didi Lizzy.

"I thank God for the beautiful journey that Bhaiya Christopher Thomas and Didi Lizzy Thomas have walked together. I first met them in Asian Christian Academy, Hosur, in 2013. From that very first day, God blessed me with more than mentors — He gave me parents."

"They cared for me as if I were their own son. They bought clothes for me, supported me with a laptop, class notes, and helped me during my marriage. Their love was not occasional — it was continual, sacrificial, and heartfelt."

From Tripura

"It was absolutely GOD’s amazing Grace who introduced me to a Godly and loving family like yours in 2010. I was an ordinary boy from Nepal who failed 10th Standard. You encouraged me, and I went on to become a College topper in B.Com and completed M.Com."

"Though I was far away from my family, I didn't feel any lack of love. You counted me as one among your family members. Because of a wonderful family like you, I have a higher respect for all people from Tamil Nadu."

Praveen Kumar

"When I was a State Coordinator, Anna said: 'You are all well-qualified... Please bring it out.' These words touched me deeply and motivated me. Whatever English I speak today is because of the seeds both of them planted in my life."

"I don’t see both of you as mentors or staff; I see you as my father and mother in Christ. You stood for us like Moses stood for the people of Israel."

"Your home was always open to us. You treated me like a member of your own family during my exam week, and that love and acceptance remain deeply engraved in my heart."

"I met you both in Manali in 2006. I was surprised that you came from Tamil Nadu to stay in the tough terrain of Himachal Pradesh. You encouraged me to understand my call."

"You lived an exemplary life as a couple. First time I saw a man doing dishes and sweeping the house. It astonished me. You never let me feel far from my family."
